Project-based production

In project organizations, costs are incurred and revenues are generated from the projects carried out. This administration not only consists of a registration of hours spent and materials used, but also has the option of charging these to your customers. Project work order administrations for processing: timesheets (also online), term and cost-plus invoicing, work order administration (one project/multiple works), work order planning with a Work Order app is available as standard.

In order to apply the Work Order Planning module and the new Work Order app, it is necessary to apply the Project Work Order Administration module. When carrying out projects, there is often a great deal of dynamism and flexibility in carrying out the specific activities. In order to be able to manage this operation properly, a work order administration has been created. This means that: the project serves as a starting point for general cost control, framework agreements and administrative settings the specific activities are quoted, planned, registered and monitored at work order level.

Variation in work:  work orders have a great variety in terms of type of work. They are used for handling malfunctions, carrying out an accepted job and controlling production. In all these cases, it concerns “non-repetitive” activities.  Booking on work orders:  in the administrative handling of cost and revenue bookings, the work order administration is in line with the working method in project administration.  Per booking line:  however, a choice will have to be made for the work order instead of the project. These bookings will not be treated separately. For the sake of clarity, each cost and revenue booking on a Project must be related to a Work Order.  Status registration:  the work order statuses are somewhat more detailed than the project statuses. In principle, these statuses are automatically assigned on the basis of various procedures (such as reporting as completed). There is also an option to manually adjust the status. More information can be found in the topic Work order status registration.  Batch processing:  given the large number of work orders (there are users with numbers of 40,000 per year), the work order module has functionality aimed at batch processing: defining account managers for reporting; performing periodic batch invoicing.

This administration functions as a complete sub-administration within the financial administration: project, work order and project post are included as dimensions with every project-related booking. This module offers you the possibility to calculate your projects in advance, to quote, to account for hours and materials and to invoice them in all kinds of ways. You have direct insight into all costs and benefits, both per project and per work order.
